Porsche may be seeking new ways to expand and diversify its lineup.
Recent patent images released by the United States Patent and Trademark Office indicate that a new Porsche Taycan Cross sedan may be on the way. As reported by MotorTrend, Motor1, and InsideEVs, the patent images of this new Cross version of the Taycan sedan appear to show a new spin on the three-box Taycan, displaying a higher ride height, a slightly different fender area, and the rear fascia from the Cross Turismo.
Although it is not yet confirmed whether these patent images represent a Cross Turismo-influenced sedan or whether they simply represent a revamp on the standard Taycan, this model will surely appeal to customers who are looking to avoid the load-lugger body style and, instead, have a desire for a more lifestyle-oriented Porsche EV.
