Coffee giant Starbucks has reportedly filed a trademark application with the USPTO for the right to use its name on a sports stadium or training facility.
The public filing reveals that the company is seeking to use its brand to promote the “business, sports and entertainment events of others” and provide “stadium and training facilities for sports and entertainment activities.”
If approved, Starbucks could join companies like FedEx, Toyota and AT&T, which have all acquired stadium naming rights.
